If the coaches poll is right - FSU has the toughest schedule - Syracuse
Sorry to Syracuse.

If the coaches poll is right FSU has the toughest schedule with 2 top 10 games, 5 top 20, and 6 top 35

NC State has 2 top 10, 3 top 20 and 5 top 35
GT has 1 top 10, 3 top 20, and 6 top 35
Clemson, VT ,and Pitt have 1 top 10, 3 top 20, and 5 top 35
Louisville has 2 top 10 and just 3 top 35
Miami has 1 top 10, 1 top 20 and just 4 top 35

I don't think any other ACC schools received votes.

Miami should be positioned to have a very good year. So should Louisville. I think GT and NC State have too many top games win more than 8, and both could win just 8 and have had damn good teams.

FSU has 1, 5, 16, 17, 18, and 33

That's strong.

Clemson has 3, 13, 17, 22, and 33
GT has 5, 15, 18, 22, 24, and 32
NC State has 3, 5, 17, 30, and 32
Pitt has 6, 11, 18, 22, and 33
VT has 5, 18, 20, 22, and 32
Louisville has 3, 5, and 33
Miami has 3, 5, and 33

Here is Syracuse: FSU, Clemson, LSU, Louisville, Miami, Pitt, NC State - that's 3, 5, 12, 17, 18, 32 and 33. 7 in the top 35, five in the top 20 like FSU.

Apologies to the Orange in more ways than one.

1 vs 3
5 vs 5
16 vs 12
17 vs 17
18 vs 18
33 vs 32
NR vs 33

It's basically a trade:
1 & 16 vs. 3, 12, and 33

Ignoring home vs away (because I don't know that off the top of my head), I'm not sure that moving from a 3 to a 1 outweighs moving from a 16 to a 12 AND playing a 33. I think that SU has a harder schedule.

After week 1, FSU might be #1 anyway.

So playing all the same teams in division except trading Syracuse for FSU (because you can't play yourself) makes your schedule tougher?

Yeah, probably.

UNC received 8 votes (just 2 fewer than GT)
Syracuse received 3 votes (certainly surprising, although it only places them as No. 54 in the country)
