I was like, really just leave off the only game played vs a ranked opponent, #11, with a chance to win a P5 conference lol.
Here is what we need, a virtually spotless ooc record for all of the high AAC teams, no bad losses in conference and someone sitting on undefeated in the championship game vs a highly ranked/undefeated team. So a 11-1 USF team vs an undefeated Memphis/Tulsa team. Houston at 9-3, UCF/Temple 9-3, good Navy team and another good east team.
If you have a number 6 memphis undefeated beating a top 15 team in the championship you're looking at play off and maybe a ny6 bid for the loser.
I can see an 11-1 Tulsa/Memphis/Houston vs a 12-0 USF in the CCG being a realistic scenario.

RE: Preseason Coaches Poll
Too many people are banking on there being no upsets, no surprises, and no good teams that firebomb. I think the AAC will have a lot of 8-4 teams this year.
Parity can be a bad thing.

I think there will be upsets. And some teams will "over" perform, and some will "under" perform. But I also think it's a possibility one or 2 teams manage to separate themselves from the pack. It's gonna be a fun season!

Realistic, yes, probable no. I see the west with two or three losses and the east champ with one or two. Barring a complete parity season of 9-3, 8-4 seasons for memphis, houston, navy, tulsa, usf, ucf, cinci, the winner has the inside track on the ny6 game.
If its all 9-3 and 8-4 the mwc or an undefeated mac/cusa team is in the ny6
