Teams you would like UC to play in the future.
Cincinnati and Kentucky needs to schedule each other in football. I know they probably won't do it, but obviously the fans don't like each other. I mean they can probably make good money off this game from ticket sales alone. I'm just tired of the hypotheticals as between the two fan bases.

RE: Teams you would like UC to play in the future.
It would nice to get Louisville back on the schedule in football or basketball but we have to be realistic in terms of landing Kentucky or Ohio State in either major sport for home and home series.
In basketball, Dayton and some of the MAC Ohio schools would be better than most of buy level games.
In football, no FCS games and more regional games.
Overall UC has scheduled rather well in both sports. UCLA home and home in football and basketball is starting soon. Marshall, Ohio U, Boise State, Pitt, Nebraska, and Indiana are all future football meet the criteria of either having a national brand or a regional tie.

Taking it from Uk's POV, it would be disastrous to schedule is in football. They struggle to win SEC games so they need as many OOC wins as possible to obtain bowl eligibility. They are already mandated to play UofL every year by the legislature. They need 3 very winnable OOC games at the minimum. Throwing another rivalry game would make life much tougher for them.
All this being said, from our POV I would love to have them on the schedule. The attention the game would get regionally would be phenomenal.

And they can't even win those games consistently...

I like all of the above. Like you, I have Purdue Basketball on my wish list. When you look at it, the two schools are not that far apart and have strong basketball history, yet have only played one another 3-4 times. Seems strange, but I know why its been that way.
A somewhat out of the box series I think would be fun for UC fans would be Northwestern in both football and basketball. Both are urban schools and it is an easy travel game for fans of both teams. There are also a lot of UC alums and Cincinnati transplants living in the Chicago area. Just as UC-Pitt garnered immediate credibility for Cincinnati fans by extension of the MLB/NFL rivalries between the cities, I think this could pay dividends as well (Reds/Cubs).

I lived in an apartment on Central literally right across from Ryan Field while I was up there in grad school. I love that stadium and would easily go back to watch Cincinnati play NW.
I agree on Purdue for basketball too, they completely slipped my mind but would be a very good regional add.

For football home and homes with any P5 program east of the Mississippi (particularly ones UC has not played in last decade) and any big time P5 program west of Mississippi. Always looking for new college football trips. I'd love to see a team like Ole Miss so I can check out The Grove, or UGA to check out Athens...etc.

Great suggestions on here. The one non-P5 that I'd be down for scheduling a home and home with is Colorado State. CSU has solid fan support, and - with the exception of a few years - have been a consistent winner over the last 25 or so years. Fort Collins would be a great place for our fans to visit, and they're opening a rather stunning new stadium (including a huge New Belgium Brewery viewing deck) this fall.

I think the Pac12 would be a good conference to schedule with. They've been willing in the past and are exotic and well-known enough entities to be interesting to fans. Maybe a Stanford, Washington, Utah, or other.

Pitt and Louisville as often as we can in football and basketball. Establish as much of an ongoing rivalry with them as possible should the ACC ever open up the books again.
After that, I'd like to see some good MWC home-and-aways that would make good road trips that are both winnable games and good destinations for travel. Colorado State, San Diego State, UNLV, and Nevada-Reno jump to mind.

I'm surprised that Notre Dame for football isn't on anyone's list.

If we could catch them in one of their down years and win, great. If we caught them while they were momentarily a top 10 team, and they hung 50 on us, it makes recruiting the Catholic schools that much harder. Big upside/Bid Downside to playing the domers.

Home and home only.
Ville, Pitt, IU, Purdue, Illinois, UK, WVU, UT, Vandy, anything that is a 4 hour drive for the return game.

Not sure if any new hotels have been built, for their home games it is hard to find a hotel room. you might have to stay in Memphis and drive down.
