New secondary TXST logo
I hope this means the TSU references from other schools and media will go away

. . not likely, but you can hope . .

Those ignorant of our "official moniker" will no doubt continue to fall back on the TSU.

Those too lazy to throw in those extra letters will probably fall back on the TSU cause it seems so logical to them, and of course "Trolls" will continue to reference us as TSU.

I like it. I'm glad the top doesn't arch downward, though, because otherwise it would look too much like the Big 12 logo.

Will it replace whatever the heck is currently on Texas State's baseball hats?

Not trying to poke fun, maybe you guys like it, but I don't care much for it.

This is what is on the caps
Used to be a star on there (TXST - The Rising Star of Texas) but A&M threatened to sue so they changed it to the supercat this past year.

Really too much for the baseball caps. They should just go with the supercat and be done with it.

Agree that the logo is too "busy" as it appears on the caps, sure looks good blown up and in isolation though . . .

I find it amusing when schools ANNOUNCE a new branding and the meat of the announcement of the NEW brand is simply running out in front of what the fans are already doing (and AState has been super guilty of this).

We had a bull like that. Try to move the cattle to another pasture and the SOB would go all over the place but once the herd was headed to the other field he'd run to get out front to lead them in.

Our fanbase has a habit of being unhappy with everything. Just imagine how many heads would explode if they reworked the SWT logo to to say TXST instead

I don't think anyone can honestly say the "SWT" font and design doesn't look good. Not particularly one of a kind, but it looks good.

Doing that in TXST instead might look pretty damn sweet. But I think they'd mess it up by trying to use the Wacker font on it (of which I am not a big fan).

Why do the aggies think they own the star design. Thats not any Aggie logo I'd immediately associate with them. I like your new secondary logo alot. It looks clean and sharp.

Just speaking off the top of my head here, but if the Aggies had filed their "star logo" as an "official trademark" prior to our use is the TS logo with star ️ . . then I suppose that could be the basis for their threat to litigate.

Or

Being a Big Rich School with Deep Deep pockets, they surveyed the State of Texas, saw that a much Smaller School was using a logo they claimed was similar to theirs, and then proceeded to bully said smaller school with all the legal means at their disposal in order to get said smaller school to cease and desist.

Take your pick . . .

They sued the Seattle Seahawks for the use of the 12th man jargon---which, while Im familar with the Aggie tradition, the 12th man usage referring to fans is pretty ubiquitous in football. Yet, somehow they actually won that case if I remember correctly. So, who knows. While there is a very strong aggie traditional connection to the 12th Man nomenclature, I think NOBODY really thinks of Aggie when they see a star---so I think they would proabaly lose that one. 04-cheers
