Rowling fired off the series of tweets after seeing an edited clip of the encounter but, had she watched the full clip, she would have seen the president greet the three-year-old boy named Monty.

After “multiple sources” criticized the author for her tweets, including Monty’s mother, Rowling apologized for her comments, Fox News reports.





“I very clearly projected my own sensitivities around the issue of disabled people being overlooked or ignored onto the images I saw and if that caused any distress to that boy or his family, I apologise unreservedly,” Rowling tweeted on Monday.

The British author deleted the original tweets in which she criticized Trump for his interaction with the young boy.

If you actually read what she said, she apologized to the boy. Not to Trump.

Considering she lambasted Trump, her apology seems rather crappy.

Helicopter mom's crammed the book down their kids throats because it was the "thing" to do.

I want to like Harry Potter as I enjoy sci-fi and fantasy, but Harry Potter is perhaps the only mainstream movie series like this that I have never watched nor read all the way through.

I like the idea of Harry Potter with wizards and all that shite, just can't gag my way through it. It's just a bit too Young Adult (which it is marketed as) for me to sit through.

Hell, it wasn't even Young Adult in the beginning. It was children's.

You really had to be the age to enjoy it though. I was 11 when it came out. It's one of those things that grows with you.

A non-apology is now a "modicum of decency"? Where I grew up that type of "modicum of decency" is simply described as an asshat that got caught, and moves their lips to look good without an apology.
