If you go to Provincetown, just be aware that it is known for its thriving LGBT community.

Good to know. Makes the place more attractive not so much for who is there, but more importantly who very likely won't be there.

Thanks!!

You do realize the previous posters were recommending Providence....not Provincetown.

Providence does have a vibrant LGBT scene of its own, but it's nothing quite like Bear Week in Provincetown.

I understand what TX is saying (I think). Festivals, and even some communities, that are heavily overweight to one group are sometimes difficult to assimilate one's self into, and often not open to differing views. For example: the DNC, the RNC, Bernie Sanders rallies, Tea Party rallies, those male-hate rallies that women held all over the country after Hillary lost.

I opt for more diverse settings, personally. One of the reason college towns and college sports are great!

Or right here in Philly, PhillyDuke, with the BLM rallies where white people were banned.

Hey RHODE ISLAND. I hear it's the smallest state in the country. Gee it sure is great to TALK
ABOUT RHODE ISLAND IN THE RHODE ISLAND THREAD.

Rhode Island is lovely. And small. So small, last year they re-carpeted the entire state.

There was a sale! It would've been foolish not to!

Should have put down hardwood. Easier to clean and lasts longer.

I think they should of used field turf.

Who would think a URI road game thread would be this long?

I've been thinking the same, amazes me this made it more than a half dozen posts. However, I wouldn't mind going to a game up there myself if I thought there was a remote chance of having a competitive game.

This thread is bigger than the state of Rhode Island! Such a small place!
Liechtenstein would kick the tar out of it in a war.
It's 88 cents in a cab from one end of the state to the other.
Rhode Island is so small, when it sits on the curb its feet dangle.
The state could hang-glide from a Dorito
House arrest gives you more room to roam than in-state probation
The place is so small I stuck a key in the door and stabbed the governor!
We're talking not a very big place!
