Huckabee's again put in an awkward situation having to cover for him. Says he was referring to a conversation they had at the G2. Except he said a phone call. Kind of hard to believe one would have a face to face out of town and think he was talking over the phone from the office.

Gotta be a tough part of the job and why I really don't know why anyone want's a job speaking for another person.

It's as if they think that people are going to say to themselves... OMG, he's lying about whether or not the leader of the boy scouts complemented him... I should have voted for someone like Obama, who lies to me about things that matter to me like keeping my insurance.

I think most people say, given the choice between someone who lies about the little or the big, I'll take the little. The argument that if they'll lie about the little they'll lie about the big only matters if the alternative isn't already lying about the big.

This is true as well, of course as we've learned in the Taiwan conversation... LOTS of conversations take place that people don't admit take place for political reasons... like who doesn't believe that we're having talks with N. Korea? I understand they're going through 'channels', but that's sort of like the old telephone bit from a fighting couple where you use a friend to simply say what you're telling them to say... verbatim.
