But if you're 'against' that person, it has become a 'lie'. More than half of the things Trump gets accused of lying about... are misinterpretations of reasonable logic by the reader and/or not perfectly worded comments that can be taken numerous ways....
Cue someone parsing my 'more than half' statement which isn't intended as a factual statement, but merely a sense of how often it seems it happens.

But anyway, if Obama had only told benign lies, you guys (assuming you were an Obama hater last go round, could be wrong) would've burned this f*cking board down each time.
Statement one is actually factually false. If you understood the law, you'd know that physicians would decline to accept the new, lower reimbursement for ACA policies relative to insurance. Many physicians already decline Medicaid, and ACA reimbursements are often lower... and it's not as if docs can't fill their waiting rooms. You'd also know that insurers would decline to offer policies if they couldn't charge enough to cover the costs of delivering care... and numerous reports since the act was passed (including iirc the CBO... not that that one is here nor there) have said that the assumptions were wildly optimistic. That's the lesser of the two as at least that one included assumptions... The first one had decades of experience to base reimbursement/enrollment decisions upon.
Your second statement doesn't make sense to me. Are you saying that people would have been more mad if he'd told benign lies than they were that he told meaningful lies? I say that because Obama haters obviously believe he lied a lot.
The point being made by many people is that politicians on both sides of the aisle lie to us about meaningful things. Trump lying about meaningless things like this is just noise.... and there is a LOT of noise from the left surrounding Trump.
This whole Russia thing is the 'birthers' all over again... which essentially vacates anything remotely resembling any moral high ground that Obama and company ever had and puts them all right down with the 'vast right wing conspiracy' and 'deplorables'.
If one wants to claim that 'they started it', that's fine but not demonstrable... someone could always claim correctly that this wasn't the first time etc etc etc.... the point is that lowering ones-self to their level isn't a good look on anyone.
