I like it a lot.

Thats always been my favorite helmet logo. Of course, we arent usm anymore apparently.

Southern Miss does resonate better, ill admit. But id still like to see that particular USM logo on the helmet. Hell, no ones watching but us anyway, so it won't mess up the "southern miss" marketing thing.

What's the story on that logo?

I don't really like it. I know some will say I'm dumb, but I always liked the feather we had with Fedora in 11.

that was the usm logo and on the helmet for a time period. im only guessing, but from memory, somewhere around 1979-1984ish. maybe '80-'83.

Logo on helmet during the Bobby Collins years, from 1977-1981. They wore an old gold helmet in 1975 and 1976, then switched to the black one.

We are wearing multiple helmets this year. I don't know if we'll wear matte or gloss with that logo, but we will have that decal at some point this year.

...it's all so clear to me now...interview with Reggie about the 58-14 drubbing of Flawda Skate....gonna throwback to that Helmet we used...Gilbert said it was a P5 from our region....spoke to an alumni today and they thought the new series was with Flawda Skate...stands to reason The Series is with Flawda Skate!!
