The Power 5 games, ranked from most winnable to least
1. Wake Forest @ App State: Could it really be any other game? Mountaineers ought to be able to chop down Weak Forest.
2. South Alabama @ Ole Miss: Ole Miss is in disarray, no longer has Chad Kelly and rebuilding, and South has certainly shown up in some non-conference games. Why not #2?
3. Idaho @ Missouri: Mizzou is going to stink. Not sure if I'm sold on Idaho, but if they play like they did last year they can make a game of it.
4. Georgia Southern @ Indiana: Call me a homer if you want, but we'll have 3 weeks to get things polished to get ready for this team.
5. Louisiana @ Ole Miss: See the above about Ole Miss
6. Miami @ Arkansas State: Mark Richt has problems when he has a green QB. The beatdown they gave App State notwithstanding, I don't think this one will be that ugly.
8. Troy @ LSU: Count me as an Ed Orgeron skeptic. I am really glad LSU is not my team as they passed over Tom Herman for more pro-style mediocrity. The teams might be more evenly-matched than 2008.
7. Arkansas State @ Nebraska: Rebuilding year for Nebraska. If Ark State actually comes out at full throttle it could be interesting.
8. Appalachian State @ Georgia: UGA will be tough on defense. Their offense is mediocre and pedestrian by Power 5 standards. I expect UGA will win in a 24-10 type score, but their chances are decent.
9. Oklahoma State @ South Alabama: Oklahoma State should be primed for a good season.
10. Georgia Southern @ Auburn: Not buying into the Auburn hype after getting fooled by them in 2015. Still, this will be a tough one without a doubt to open up with such a young team.
11. Louisiana @ Texas A&M
12. New Mexico State @ Arizona State
13. Texas State @ Colorado
14. New Mexico State @ Arkansas
15. ULM @ Auburn
16. Georgia State @ Penn State
17. ULM @ Florida State
If I left any out, my apologies.

Not that I anticipate it affecting the final outcome drastically, but the Auburn DC in an interview today admitted they had no idea what to prepare for in our game. They are basically preparing for GT, Cal Poly, and Tulane all at once.

Counting the CCU vs Ark game, that is 18 games with only three games at SBC stadiums. Taking wins will be App over Wake and Georgia Southern at Ind.. Southern Alabama wins one somewhere making three total. We will have five competitive games that fall within 3-9 points (questionable calls will doom three of our teams here), and six games being lost by 14-17. Four games lost by 27 plus with the most likely candidates being CCU, ULM, UNM and TSU.

Games:

Not too bad overall, considering the opponents.

I think App over Wake is the one game I would be willing to put money on, but I wouldn't be surprised to see a couple upsets this year.
Possible Wins (best chances):
Wake Forest @ Appalachian State
South Alabama @ Ole Miss
Idaho @ Missouri
Georgia Southern @ Indiana
Louisiana @ Ole Miss
Long shot wins:
Arkansas State @ Nebraska
New Mexico State @ Arizona State
No chance:
Oklahoma State @ South Alabama
Texas State @ Colorado
ULM @ Auburn
Georgia State @ Penn State
ULM @ Florida State
Troy @ LSU
Appalachian State @ Georgia
Georgia Southern @ Auburn
Coastal @ Arkansas
New Mexico State @ Arkansas
Louisiana @ Texas A&M
Miami @ Arkansas State

While I would say "there's always a chance" this breakout is pretty darn close to how I feel as well.

It is TXST not TSU. TSU is Texas Southern.

Where did you get those lines? It remains to be seen what Southern's offense will look like, but if it's what we're hoping for, I'd love to catch 3.5 points for a prime time home game.

That sounds like an excellent model for the state of Georgia to follow

You guys seem to get that a lot. I've heard several ESPN3 commentators make that mistake.

Luckily Summers doesn't run the offense, Cook does.
