Anything to give positive attention to our basketball program is worthwhile.

Fox has had a heck of a turn around in the caliber of talent over the past few months. He inherited a complete disaster and deserves some good things. Just today Mike Bibby Jr confirmed he is transferring to App from USF. Son of NBA player Mike Bibby and grandson of NBA & UCLA great Henry Bibby, Michael Jr had offers from FSU, Oregon, Oregon State, Memphis, Gonzaga, TCU & USC (the one in California) out of high school. With the addition of Bibby and Tulsa transfer Joseph Battle, App will put its most talented team in history on the floor for 2018-19.

Until proven otherwise, the 98-99 team with Tyson Patterson, Marshal Phillips, Cedrick Holmes, Shawn Alexander and Matt McMahon was the most talented team IMO.

IMO several of Tom Apke's teams were more talented than that bunch, but the SoCon was a bear in the late 80's & early 90's. The 98-00 teams benefited from a severely weakened SoCon. Marshall had been replaced by Wofford, Chattanooga & ETSU were shells of what they were in the 80's & early 90's. Charleston came into the SoCon and proceeded to go 52-9 / 29-3 in conference during 98-00. We were a combned 1-3 against them. IMO, Cremmins' 78-79 team is still the standard by which all others are measured.
