RE: 2017 Roster is up
Anyone know anything about Mykelti Williams? I never heard of his transfer until now as he's shown on the roster. Looking at his recruiting profile he was a 3 star (87) that had offers from Big ten and SEC schools. Wonder how he wound up here and why here after leaving Notre Dame.

I thought they were saying Tolliver was showing some promise in practice last year?

Rivals actually had him as a 4 star out of high school. Either way the secondary is going to be strong this year, that is for sure.

Rowell is listed in the NIU directory but not Denton. Wonder what's up with Rowell...

RE: 2017 Roster is up
We need a quality QB to transfer in. Rod Carey should be killing it at QB recruiting. This offense is so easy for a QB to put up ridiculous numbers and get all sorts of publicity.

So do you want an experienced QB or a new recruit? PS:

Childers - Sophmore
Santa - Sophmore
Hall - Freshman

I just prefer a Notre Dame QB transfer vs. a safety transfer. None of those three make me feel like NIU will get back to being on top this season.. Childers has no experience, Santa has a couple games experience against bad teams, and Hall is a true freshman. I hope I'm wrong and one of them is a stud and has a great year.

I mean....how do you expect guys to get experience other than playing? There was a time when Harnish, Lynch, and Hare had no experience either. NIU will never land a good, experienced QB transfer. Those guys end up at Florida like Malik Zaire did.

And Childers is a freshman, for the record.

I definitely don't expect us to ever get that type of transfer as long as Carey is here. He can't even beat out North Dakota State for a high school QB recruit.
