When regional schools like Charlotte, Old Dominion, App St and Liberty announced FBS I knew it would be bad for ECU because ACC schools and ECU rivals like Virginia Tech would schedule them. They have. Virginia Tech has 6 games (H&H's) with Old Dominion and a 3/2 with Liberty. They even have a 2026/2030 series with BYU squeezing ECU out of their OOC schedule after 2025. VT has filled their OOC for over a decade until 2031. That sucks.

VT helping in state schools I see....and helping themselves by playing at ODU in the more populated regions of the state.

That's stupid. ACC sucks.

ECU has played only 2 schools more times than Virginia Tech. (Southern Miss and North Carolina St)

If it's about state loyalty for Virginia Tech than fine. How about a little state loyalty in North Carolina? The ACC 4 in NC can schedule ECU H&H indefinitely too.

VT is coming to ODU for the same reason the NC ACC schools are. Tidewater recruiting.

Oh it's good for you guys. Sucks for ECU. One day James Madison will go FBS and VT will start scheduling them in place of you and you'll be saying the same thing.

Our AD revenue certainly screams Pow6r. Perhaps you should take a few notes.

That is a really good series for a new D-1 program to have. Definitely ODU needs to be a candidate if we ever expand.

I'm not complaining at all. We have to get out of the mindset we have to play a murderer's row every year. Replace them with Southern Miss and let's move on.

ODU is playing VT and UNC this year. No disrespect to ODU, but they view ODU as sure win against an FBS team. ACC teams don't want to schedule ECU because they have taken a beating the last few years. What they really want is to have another W at the end of the season.

ECU has won 2 in a row against UNC (the last game was the worst beatdown in UNC history, 70 points), 3 out of the last 4 against Duke, 3 in a row and 10 out of the last 16 against NC State, and 2 out of 3 against Va Tech. ECU is not a guaranteed loss for an ACC team, but is too dangerous to schedule regularly for an OOC game.

We've lost 5 in a row against Wake since 2001. We should give them a call.
