I cut cable because there are maybe 5 channels I want to watch, but to get those 5 channels I need to have a certain subscription where I get 200 other channels filled with crap. Oh, and there's only one cable provider in my area. So it's either 130 bucks a month or whatever it is....or no cable.

Gotta give Patrick Nothaft and mlive credit for a slew of recent stories since the start of camp. Most recently decent pieces on Jarvion Franklin and Steven Clark. I hope he keeps it up. http://www.mlive.com/broncos/index.ssf/2...bile_index

I'll give Patrick credit. Not MLive though.

I nearly posted something in the 2019 recruiting section. I have an acquaintance at work (both of us are reps that cover the same account in Detroit). His son is a kicker who, long story short, is quitting his football team because the HC is an *******. He intimidates his players in the hallways at school, calls them "retards" at practice and cusses and huffs and puffs on the sidelines like he's got some anger issues. All this according to the kids dad. This school of probably 700 doesn't even field a JV team and the varsity squad is quite small for the school size + freshman football. Not many kids want to even try out for this guy.

Back to the kid, he's been kicking on the varsity since 9th grade. Been to kicking camps the past 2 offseasons. He worked with Jason Hanson this past summer. He and his dad let Hanson know of his intentions to quit the team. Hanson told him that the camps are probably more important than the games and if any college coaches want to know anything they can contact him. His dad says he has film of him booting kickoffs 70yds and FGs from 50 and he's a HS Jr this year. Sad that the coach soured his football experience but he seems serious about kicking. His dad says he's not very serious now about his academics compared to his older brother. To which I responded that if he doesn't know what he wants to go for then WMU has excellent schools for engineering, business, education and Med school. I'm hoping the kid gets a shot somewhere and I'm thinking by 2019 josh grant is a Junior or RS So. This kid if he continues to develop could come into Kzoo with no pressure to perform for 2 years if all goes well with Grant. I know it's a lot of projecting and thought for a 2019 kicker but the importance of the highest scoring position in football is underrated. What would our record have been without Butch's performance?
