Football recruit
From Twitter today

Danny Perry
With GREAT pride I would love to announce that I will be transferring to Kent State University to play football this fall. #GoFlashes

Best I can figure, he was an all-state caliber lineman (both ways) at Lapeer High in Michigan AND a state champion heavyweight wrestler.

Went to Michigan on wrestling scholarship.

I can't immediately figure why he's leaving and switching sports and how he would be eligible this fall.

But he looks like quite an athlete.

RE: Football recruit
From the Atlanta Journal-Constitution website (in listing of top running backs in Georgia):

*Taurean Taylor, Tucker (5-8, 175): Taylor rushed for 1,321 yards and had another 223 receiving yards with 18 touchdowns last season, when he was the Region 4-AAAAAA offensive player of the year for state runner-up Tucker. He also ran back three kicks for touchdowns. He’s committed to Kent State.
