My son and I went through orientation yesterday as "officially" he will be a Freshman Blazer this year (although he has always been a Blazer).

I was very impressed with the presentation they gave the parents.

The campus has changed quiet a bit since the 80's when I roamed it.

I made it a point to ask as many of the students that I came in contact with if they were fired up for the return of Blazer football. Every single one I approached can't wait for 9/2/17.

It was good to not see any clothing of support for any "other" schools.

I was an Orientation Leader when I was at UAB and the parent's presentation was always one of my favorite parts.

As a parent. Son will be Mech Eng freshman in the Fall...

Any word from the orientation sessions on what UAB's fall enrollment numbers will look like? We were at ~19,500 last fall so I'd love if we got to 20k.

I have a daughter who will begin grad school at UAB in the fall. I already have two other daughters (and one son-in-law) who are graduates, and, of course, my wife and I are alums.
