RE: 2018 MBB WAC Commits
So.... we post 2018 recruits on here... but also recruiting info goes team specific boards in the recruiting threads because recruiting is team specific? What about 2017 signees? Other recruiting news like offers? Do they go on the WAC board or are they too team specific?

We need clear rules. Why is some recruiting news like "2018 WAC Signees" all of the sudden allowed on the WAC board again, when theres these new recruiting threads on team boards that I thought were made a week ago to prevent this stuff?

Point out to me where you see a rule in which recruiting info has been made board specific?

Why were they made then? I thought the point was to keep threads like this off the WAC board. Im just confused.

Personally I agree with Pistol above, though

If the rule is unclear and hard to understand, then it either needs to be done away with or clarified further.

I'm not a mind reader. People need to tell me if they are having a hard time understanding it.

If you SV post the information of a new commitment, signee, or incoming transfer, I would like the opportunity to discuss (in a civil manner) the impact of that player. I can't really do that on a thread exclusive to recruiting. It would make that thread extremely long with idle chatter. I don't mind having a generic recruiting thread to put the info out into the WAC atmosphere. But I don't want to be restricted to just that thread. And, putting this type of information on the individual school boards only draws posters from other schools to those boards to create debate; negating the point of a main WAC board. If that's the case, all you WAC guys can just go to the other "Aggie" boards (Aggie Alert and Crimson Country) to learn about NMSU recruiting.

And you all realize... this thread has spend two pages on a discussion about rules rather than 2018 MBB WAC Commits pretty much derailing the intent of this thread.

RE: Discussion what you believe shoud be posted (from 2018 MBB WAC Commits)
I think it needs to be discussed about what posters believe should be posted in the main WAC board and what should not. Clearly everyone interprets the new rule differently. Also was the board better or after the new rule? I would like to hear everyone's opinion.

You don't respond you cant be heard.

For the crybabies, if you don't like a thread don't look at it or contribute to it. If Bakersfield got a new recruit and posted a thread about it I would be fine with it. That's why I come here, to learn about what's going on with other teams. Let people post where they want too and quit whining and complaining about every damn thing. This place is like a kindergarten school yard sometimes. Shheezzz.

RE: Discussion what you believe shoud be posted (from 2018 MBB WAC Commits)
I don't think a single recruiting thread on the main WAC board gives posters the latitude to discuss players. If certain posters want a "recruiting specific" thread, feel free to put one on your assigned school board. The main WAC board needs to be free flowing. In my mind recruiting is not a school specific topic because the impact effects all WAC schools and the competition for championships.

Now, I do believe there are some topic that are better left to the individual school boards like topics about a school's history prior to the WAC... non-WAC affiliated sports... Topics specific to the respective local communities... i.e. Las Cruces, Seattle, Bakersfield, Phoenix, etc. I don't care about the Big Sky getting a TV deal unless it directly effects the WAC. I don't care about "hypothetical" new conferences which involve some WAC schools. But if I don't like these threads, I just won't contribute.

And, like the grammar & spelling police, we don't need a "WAC Topics" police to derail a discussion (and, I'm not talking about you CP). I don't think we should be monitoring topics as much as decorum. The tone of the posts need to be inclusive; not belligerent and confrontational.

This board is turning into a bunch of crybabies. Seems to be slowly dying with all the rules. It's use to run good before so why fix something that wasn't broke for a few crybabies.
