Exclamation Delany: BTN will package content for regional outlets
http://collegefootballtalk.nbcsports.com...d-youtube/

Big Ten Network, now in its 10th year of operation since launching as the first conference-branded network, will also be creating content for regional sports outlets, like an Ohio State show on SportsTime Ohio.

Now this is something the SECN should already have. I say as long as the regional outlet has the SECN, charge them an additional fee and provide all the local content they wish to broadcast. All money gets pooled to the conference and split evenly. 04-cheers

I don't guess that would be a bad idea.

My question is how many of these regional sports outlets aren't owned by FOX?

Not any different than a regional NBC sports net or a cable channel or a regional ABC/NBC/CBS/Fox/WB affiliate, they all could use live content and there are opportunities for them to broadcast some packages

Ok, I see what you're getting at.

I would suggest shuttling off some of the minor events that would otherwise be found on SECN Plus. In the old days, for example, you used to be able to watch Bama softball games on WVUA which is a local station in Tuscaloosa. Of course, that was before SECN, but obviously you can't show everything on SECN and I doubt WatchESPN draws high traffic for events exclusively on SECN Plus. Might work out to simulcast on local TV.
