Rather than specific problems, they took the kids on speculation. So what criteria are next?

By the time they get them back from the state, the kids will be indoctrinated transgenders.

"It takes a village" is one of the most pervasively powerful tools of the well meaning totalitarian statist.

How smart is smart enough?
What's the threshold of intelligence in the government's mind to adequately raise children?

Crappy parenting is not determined by IQ.

You could argue that if there is a threshold of intelligence to raise kids anyone below that level should be sterilized because any child they birthed they wouldn't be allowed to raise.

If there was a couple I would think about taking it away from, it would be those college educated parents lauded on the today show for having all her teachers and kindergarten classmates call the girl a boy.

But parents' rights should be paramount. Now if they were doing puberty delaying drugs, that's child abuse.
