Larry Fedora name has been mentioned in NC but not sure if he is on OM radar. I imagine they have big dreams for the next coach.

Not any more. What's the last great coach you heard of that took over a program on sanctions and was able to stay long enough to rebuild it? The jury is out on Franklin at Penn State. Maybe he'll be one to do it. We'll see. But either way he was hardly a name when he took the PSU job and he was running from problems at Vanderbilt over a rape case.

Fedora will hold out for a larger job or until UNC makes it impossible to leave.

RE: Hugh Freeze resigns
Ole Miss, unfortunately, is a dead end job. Johnny Vaught did well there, but not too many folks have since. Tubberville was good, but he bolted for Auburn ASAP!! Cutcliffe was good too, but the Ole Miss AD was too impatient and thought that Cutcliffe could win ASAP when Cutcliffe had a big rebuilding job ahead of him. I don't know why Nutt got canned, nor do I really care to know. I want to say it's easier to get into Ole Miss than it is into 'Bama but I'll have to double check that.
