But after the spring Griggs had, it's his job to lose headed into fall camp. Griggs showed off a strong arm with above average mobility in the spring. He also displayed a better handle of the offense.

Griggs isn't anywhere near as polished a player as Southern Miss fans grew accustomed to during the Austin Davis and Nick Mullens eras. But if he can limit the mistakes and manage the potent offense, the Golden Eagles ought to be pleased with the returns.
