I can name five off the top of my head: Navy lost to Air Force, Houston lost to SDSU, UCF lost to Arkansas State, Navy lost to La Tech, Memphis lost to WKU....

Since you are listing several bowl games maybe he meant regular season (but I am pretty sure you knew that)

Hadn't thought about that, but saw that stat and clearly knew it was off base. as the inclusion of those games that were played would in December would drastically change that statistic.

Ok, so 21-6 is the record. Still a Winning Percentage of .769, which is good. No reason to fudge the stats. Not sure why they did.

Mountain West was 13-8 for a .619 Winning Percentage (2-2 against the American).

I don't think it was fudging, but more so highlighting the P6 campaign and the CFP influence. Their purpose is regular season ranking. Take 2016 for example, Navy lost to an unranked Temple team yet still remained top 25. Temple entered the rankings after their win. The past couple of years this has been the strength of the AAC - the CFP perception of conference play.

wyoming likely beating iowa or oregon ? unlv can beat byu? boise will "atleast" go 3-1, playing 2 borderline top 25 (byu/wazzu), hell even troy is supposed to be very good? csu has a "great" chance to go 3-1 playing bama, Colorado and Oregon state, where they might be underdogs in all 3?

About as likely as UCONN going 13-0.

Well..CSU beating Colorado and Oregon st (and getting demolished by Alabama) to go 2-1 is probably a bit more likely than Uconn going 13-0. Just a bit. Now if he's predicting BYU losing to UNLV than that means BYU must be awful this year. The Wyoming game (at Iowa) is the one where a lot of Hawkeye fans are worried about. Kirk Ferentz has a way of losing OOC games like this one.

Good article. He's a good commissioner. It's interesting that he that "negotiation" with ESPN wouldn't be a negotiation. I wonder what was meant by that. That basically you'll take what they offer you because you're not going to completely leave the network, then try to sell the lower tier options through Silicon Valley? ESPN/ABC has given you great access.
