Yup, only in football where they have an advantage.

At least from a few of their fans, mostly a fairly measured and reasoned response, dumping on their coach more than anything else. Although, I found one of their fan's comments that he was more likely to get playing time here than there odd. Obviously, he is suffering some sort of delusion concerning the relative condition of our two programs.

Yeah if someone has an account over there I wish they would ask (nicely) why they think he would get more playing time on a team coming off two great years vs them coming off.. well yeah.. Good question, someone should ask.

They have the impression that the Sun Belt is far superior to the SoCon. They are sadly mistaken. App won 7 D-I games last year and the Citadel and WCU had much better RPI's.

It *used to be* that you had to initiate the Hope Scholarship one's freshman year, and then keep it active by attending, getting grades, etc. I don't know if that's still true, and actually am not 100% sure that's the way it used to work, either. Just what I was told.

He'd get 25% off simply by his parent being a teacher.

Id be cranky too if I had to support a program that has had 5 winning seasons in the last 17 years. Plus their HC Jim Fox is a horrible Xs and Os coach. Also I don't think he nor his staff knows how to evaluate talent and recruit it. According to VerbalCommits.com Appy has 32 offers out right now (23 for 2018 and 9 for 2019) for 8 spots. It looks as they are just offering kids and hope some of them say yes. Out of those 32 recruits only a handful do I see that Appy would have a shot at.

Plus an arena, built by the NC taxpayers, that's fully under utilized by a failed basketball program at a football school.
