Funny.....Fullerton had over 130 players on thier Roster from 31 different states and the District of Columbia. ODU has 111 Players on our Roster. Their OL is as big as ODU's front line, if not bigger and with more options on their roster of only freshman and Sophomores..... 18 Big OL players to pick from, most freshman. (ODU list 15 OL players) The starting 4 or 5 average over 320 pounds...

* Samual Davis OL Fr 6-4 360 Pomona, CA / Ganesha
* Kevin Brown OL Fr 6-4 315 Reisterstown, MD / Franklin
* Carlos Trellez OL Fr 6-3 325 Anaheim, CA / Villa Park
* Steven Angel OL Fr 6-5 270 Anaheim, CA / Loara
* Deltan Crandell OL Fr 6-3 290 Fullerton, CA / Fullerton Union
Matthew Hanau OL Fr 6-2 295 Chula Vista, CA / Hilltop
Rashad Harris OL Fr 5-10 235 Daytona Beach, FL / Mainland
Cremy Caballero OL Fr 6-7 340 Orange, CA / Villa Park
Charlie Pescarolo OL Fr 6-1 315 Orange, CA / Orange Lutheran
Muhammad Jefferson OL Fr 6-3 285 New Orleans, LA / Landry
Walker Marshall Levins OL So 6-6 295 Mansfield, OH / Mansfield
Lino Vaccher OL Fr 6-4 320 Yorba Linda, CA / Orange Lutheran
Wayne Sumpter DL So 6-5 245 Washington, D.C. / Wilson
Allen Robles DL Fr 6-0 255 Anaheim, CA / Loara
Andrew Brantley OL Fr 6-5 320 Lithonia, GA / Miller Grove
John Anderson OL Fr 6-8 270 Holland, PA / Council Rock
Nathan Trent OL So 6-2 305 Buena Park, CA / John F. Kennedy
Emil Graves OL So 6-3 285 Lynwood, CA / Los Alamitos

The Defensive Line is again very big, they come close to comparing to ODU's and they have as many options as we do....14 DL Members. (ODU list 10) The DL averages over 285 pounds There are not to many HS's that can boast those kind of numbers and size. I would venture to say they could give a lot of FCS teams a run for their money.

Corey Rose DL Fr 6-2 285 Los Angeles, CA / Pacific Palisades
Markus Lewis DL So 6-2 310 Chino, CA / Chino
JeMycheal Moore DL Fr 6-3 275 Compton, CA / Dominguez
Domonic Sanchez DL So 6-3 315 Whittier, CA / California
Quentin Yontz DL So 6-4 265 Corona, CA / Centennial
Jose Bermejo DL So 6-0 310 Anaheim, CA / Katella
Edgar Condado DL Fr 6-0 260 Los Angeles, CA / Crenshaw
Montre Bonner DL So 6-3 230 Lorton, VA / South County
Mitchell Hurtado DL So 6-4 240 Anaheim, CA / Loara 93
Jaylon Dean DL Fr 5-10 250 Pomona, CA / Ganesha 94
John Snowden DL So 6-5 255 Washington, D.C. / McKinley
Nick Della Rocco DL So 5-11 277 Buena Park, CA / John F. Kennedy
JJ Smith DL So 6-2 230 Redlands, CA / Citrus Valley
Tyler Stepney DL So 6-0 230 Memphis, TN / East

They also have 18 staff members to guide and coach the players to be the best.

Please check out their 2016 Roster you will be impressed with the options and the talent they had on that team. Many of the players that went to Fullerton were 2 and 3 star HS recruits that went there for many different reasons.

A few players that received FBS Scholarships from Fullerton 2016... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=etCgvY_tT9Q

Watch the film from hoy. Its not about size. This level is a step up from high school and a step below FCS.

RE: C-USA Preseason Rankings
There is a reason why them big boys are at a junior college. Not all big bodies equal good football players. The head scratcher for me is if Hoy is as great of a player as people are talking about on here why didnt he get any offers from other programs? His jr college stats are nice for a 13 game season but there are also some stats and games he under performed in that gives me doubts he is as great as some of yall say. I am all for the underdog players like Hoy and hope he exceeds here, but be real there isn't much competition here (not to disrespect BL & DA) but their unproven.

Shoot, watch Last ChanceU. There are a handful that make it to good programs, but the large majority of them just wash out. The caliber of talent isn't that high. Remember Joey V. lighting up Fullerton?

I get what you're saying but Joey isnt a great example as he was derailed by injuries, not a lack of talent.

Injuries played a part of it, but I don't think he was ever suiting up at QB for us from what I've been told.

But, we never saw how he would perform against FBS talent.

Well, my point is that you cannot use others as an example of failure and ignore those that succeeded. We have very little idea of how he will produce at this level, good or bad. I trust that the coaches will pick the best man for the job.

Yeah, my only point is I would not use experience as a benefit for Hoy. I would argue having time in our offense in practice is more valuable than playing JUCO. That doesnt mean Hoy wont win job, just that he has some catching up.
