Other than the MTSU game, nothing else was unexpected.
I know some of the FAU homers think that Kiffin was going automatic right the ship but it doesn't work like that. Navy is solid and FAU has long way to go. Most pick Navy to win comfortably

I picked FAU due to having 20 returning starters from 2016.

Basically starting from scratch. I watched some FAU games last year there wasn't much FBS talent on that team.
Navy was top 25 and went to the AAC champ game

Who knows. FAU went 3-9 but, true to the form, we had lost 4 of the games by less than a TD after having lead in the 4th quarter. We could have been a bowl team three years in a row. I don't care if we had any FBS talent (by your definition) if we were within 4 plays of being a 7-5 team instead of 3-9.

"not much FBS talent" not any. I watched Kansas State and WKU games and those were ugly ugly. Just thinking that FAU could beat a top 25 team from last year, is a little far fetched IMO

A top 25 team from last year that had like 9 returning starters.
As an aside, it is rather unfortunate that you have picked those games to watch FAU.

Navy has consistly won 8 and 9 games. It really doesn't matter how many starters they lose, it is a plug and play triple option system.
Maybe but Tech would have beat K-State in Manhatten if wasn't for a terrible reviewed call in triple OT and Tech beat WKU last year. It wasn't like those two teams were world beaters yet they beat FAU that way. Point is that FAU should have been somewhat competitive (less than 3tds) especially if you think FAU had Bowl team potential

FAU was the youngest team in the nation last year. Lack of experience showed. ON the other hand, I would have liked to see fewer errors Friday, but that did not happen, and, among the culprits, were some of the older players.

Hurricane IRMA may potentially introduce scheduling changes / postponements into the Week 2 schedule.

The Week 2 in OOC competition was better than Week 1 but, still, I am disappointed in some of the results.

RE: C-USA vs. the NCAA. 2017 Edition
Thus far, C-USA has been outscored by FBS competition 668-307 (37.1 ppg - 17.1 ppg).
Against our G5 "peers," that deficit is not much better (37.9 - 22.0).

RE: C-USA vs. the NCAA. 2017 Edition
C-USA had avoided losing to FCS teams last season. Right now, it seems, Charlotte is getting beat up by NC A&T of the FCS. Major uncool.
