I was in favor of Metro when we were debating names... Name has some history behind it, many of us were in the old Metro, and fits like a glove with most of our schools being right in big cities.

I thought 'American' was too similar to 'cUSA'... a comparison we were trying to discourage...

But que sera sera... AAC is working fine.

That was my point. Same as we wanted a Big East invite in the past, then got it after it no longer had a seat.

Best B12 teams leave, B12 becomes United, they invite half of us, lose their power status, United (old B12) sits in the G6 fighting to be recognized as the 5th power conference, with all of us wanting to leave. AAC becomes another CUSA.

Pretty much the exact same story with different conference names, a P4 and G6, and The United will be the "class" of the G6 (per some of us and Iowa State).

That is his point. Those conferences made very poor choices putting numbers in their names. Now they just look idiotic with 14 in the Big10 and 10 in the Big12.

I wanted the Big Metro Conference and go by the Big Metro.
