Some great schools in Virginia! And North Carolina.

Money ranks 12 Virginia/North Carolina schools in the Top 22 in the South . . .

What's the point now when Red Staters don't BC value the university experience?

Also not surprising is UH trailing Rice, Texas, Texas A&M, and D3 Trinity in Texas. But to also be ranked lower than UT-Dallas and UTEP runs against the message Khator is crafting for the Cougars.

Tulane is further down the list at 45, which is a big surprise, as is SMU. That must be in response to high tuitions at those schools?

Wonder if they take COLA into account when coming up with the 'early career earnings' section given how recent grads usually get jobs near their college, making $68,000 straight out of Rose Hulman goes way farther if you stay in the midwest versus $70,300 after Stanford while living in Silicon Valley.

UT-D isn't a surprise. They are pretty good and have a high % of tech grads. UTEP is very surprising.

RE: Money College Rankings
Yeah, UT-D is an excellent medium-sized public school at 17K undergrads. Not even among the Top 10 largest undergrads in Texas, size wise.

UTEP ranks really well in the Washington Monthly rankings too.

Bear in mind that Money ranks NC State ahead of Duke, so clearly cost is a huge factor in their equation.
