Borders are not arbitrary in nature.

i'll give you that

Then why did you say it?

The basis of your opinion you are admitting to be false?

well a border isn't as much arbitrary as it probably is strategic, i misspoke. still doesn't make it any less imaginary

Wut?

We'll just leave it at that.

You are part of the problem.

might makes right draws arbitrary borders

Too late, you already stepped right into it that big steamy pile.

How is it imaginary if agreed up between two nations, states, cities, towns, yada yada yada?

So is your post. Yet here it is.

Nothing screams insecure in your position like desperately trying to silence those who disagree w/ you 03-wink

Sure, we should deport any serious criminals that we happen to arrest, but going after anybody else is a waste of time, and it's probably damaging to our economy - both in the short term and in the long term.

As a general statement, I almost categorically oppose anything that opposes free trade and a meritocratic society, and I think most social issues are a waste of time - usually perpetrated by those who are either dumb or stealing from dumb people.

Where did I attempt to silence your opinion because you disagreed with me? Oh wait I see it. It's when I said this was a waste of time, right? Nope, that was you. So it looks like you're not only a liar, you're a freaking hypocrite as well.

Read this out loud and see if it makes sense to you.

Apparently so was any effort your parents put into raising an adult.

At least I'm not afraid of the outside world, which appears to be more than you can say.

The fact that we are willing to deport anyone has dramatically decreased illegal immigration and decreased the need to deport. Obama's policies were a green light that caused dramatic increases, especially of children.

Immigration is good. Unlimited immigration without any control on who enters is bad.

That's true, but stupid partisan rhetoric aside, it's been a long, long time since this has actually been true.

I'm all for deporting hardened criminals. Deporting an otherwise productive member of society because the guy jumped a border and got a speeding ticket is chicjen sh*t driven by a nativist sentiment rooted in a deep-seeded inferiority complex that's arises out of a fear of competition. I don't have that fear. I'm not afraid of free markets and free labor. Unlike most of the posters on this forum, I don't want handouts. I do, however, want the benefit of cheap labor and good ideas this this policy would hamper.

It would be great if you could talk about the issue without shallow moral judgments and amateur attempts at psychoanalysis.

Jumping a border is chicken ****.

You can tell the "elites" from the people who aren't insulated from the effects of illegal immigration on the workforce based on their responses in this thread. "Screw the American citizen willing to do the job for minimum wage......let the illegal do it for $2 less since it saves me money.'
