Really hard to say. First, the man knew Trump very well in the late 80s. A person can change an awful lot in 30 years. Even if on the surface he has the same brash persona and huge ego, you still continue to grow on the inside. The Trump of today may have more intestinal fortitude than the one from the late 80s. Or...he may be worse.

Also, can you take what a person says at face value when they have a biased view of the situation? He dislikes Trump, so it stands to reason that if he can hurt Trump he'll take that shot.

You really don't know either way, and it would likely make zero difference if we knew this man's opinion or not. Just more verbal masturbation to fill in the time for our now 24 hour news cycle culture.
