Did y'all read the article? It's about cancelling the show because it's causing the President to tweet out speculation and unproven allegations as facts. It calls Fox and Friends a propaganda mill that is being parroted by the President and is presenting a potentially dangerous situation. In no way is it calling for violence toward the host of the show. Is their use of kill instead of cancel for more clicks and distasteful? Sure, but perhaps next time read more than the headline before getting outraged?

I'm going to go out on the common sense limb here and say that they meant cancel the show, especially after clicking on said link.
