If the average P5/G5 coach were bringing in a Top 10 QB every year, they'd likely recruit fewer QBs, but most are bringing in slightly undersized QBs like Tanner Morgan, tall big arms like Ju Ju Jordan, or run first kids with wheels like Flacco. Not the total package like an elite P5 gets.

The average college team recruits more QBs in an attempt to find and develop one that has the tools those Top 10 kids had coming in.
