MyBB CBS Sports.com - AAC Prediction
Like Rothstein, the writer predicts a 9th place AAC finish for the Tigers. He noted that Tubby inherited four top 100 recruits and now has none and "Smith removed Keelon Lawson, the father, from the picture when it came to significant involvement in the program. What came next is no surprise."

Didn't read the article but everything that you posted is factual...

Tubby made a call about Lawson now he has to deal with the consequences (good and bad)

I honestly don't understand the love for SMU though...They lost 3 very very good players off of that team. A team whose bench played about as much as ours did.

It's funny how Josh didn't bother you in some negative way. He could do no wrong.

Funny how the poster who was easily the most critical of Pastner; someone who made CONSTANT negative comments about EVERYTHING he did; who couldn't seem to find anything positive to say about Pastner, can't seem to be bothered by anything that Tubby does, AND is the most sensitive when it comes to criticism levelled at Tubby.

If we finish 9th and also strike out on the 2018 class Tubby may be gone by April.

Yeah I liked Dedric. Could of been a completely different person away from the public eye. KJ and Keelon just left a bad taste in my mouth

I think that in a lot of ways Tubby might have put together many of the parts that you need to for a good basketball team, but unless someone turns out to be way better than they are supposed to be, it is going to be a struggle to put the ball in the basket.

The best hope would be that Martin acquired a right hand, or someone acquired an outside shot over the summer.

There's two ends of the court, keeping the other team from scoring is where this team needs to excel. That can cover up a lot of offensive deficiencies.

That's what Virginia did for a while

Tubby promised an uptempo style. Typically, strong defensive teams want to slow the pace and suffocate the opponent.

During our run with Cal we were one of the top rated defensive teams in the country...Especially FG% defense and we didn't play 40 minutes of hell but we didn't play slow either. Point is just because you are playing fast doesn't mean you are giving up easy buckets.

RE: CBS Sports.com - AAC Prediction
Anything worse than third in the AAC is a failure for Tiger basketball.

If Tubs finishes above 9th in the league this year he will declare the season a success. Only a top 3 finish should qualify.

I can't remember being less excited for Tiger basketball since Tic Price.

A top 100 finish in the RPI and a top 30 recruiting class should get Tubby where he needs to be for 2020. At some point he has to be able to land kids in the top 100. He was able to land a few at Minnesota.
