There are a few kids that go to a particular school because that's where they always wanted to go. But for the most part it is the relationship that they have with the coaches. How many people on here would want a kid playing for their school who has out right said they didn't want to be there and was counter productive as a teammate.

The 1st person that comes to mind and the last person at Marshall to do this was Kareem Canty after Tom Herrion was fired. One of D'Antoni's 1st moves was to dismiss him from the team. Could D'Antoni have let Canty stay, sure. Would Marshall have won more than 11 games D'Antoni's 1st year with Canty, probably. Was it the right move, absolutely.

If Stans can keep this class together and they make some noise then he'll probably get some good offers and may leave and some of his players may leave as well. But to me that's not building a house of cards. It's not like he brought in all JUCO's and grad transfers to have one or two good years and leave the cabinet empty. That's a house of cards in my book.

If Stansbury gets WKU to 24-26 wins this year and then takes another job before during or after March Madness this year, just how many of those kids do you think will return for 2018-19. My guess is 2, most likely Taveion Hollingsworth, and their 2 star that I can't think of right now.

If its not a house of cards then it sure is the house built with sticks in "The Three Little Pigs".

Same can be said for every program in CUSA, once again love how you single out Stansbury and WKU...Keep on hating though, used to it football not so much with basketball lately...

This is the best part. All these E thug WKU fans come on here and constantly talk bad about other teams in the conference then claim they are hated when others respond. You all have not accomplished a thing in basketball yet, so why are you talking like you are the top of the conference. Last I checked that was MTSU.

What the hell is E thugs? That's all you have? No one talking bad about anything, ODU fans always have issues with something and came on here whining about Mitchell Robinson...YOu guys were presented facts and still not satisfied....Yea it would really get your ODU panties in a wad if both WKU football and basketball was dominating...Football already has got you guys whining and hating WKU so I can see why it carries over to basketball...

Find proof of anything I have stated on here that WKU has accomplished anything in basketball in CUSA besides knocking off ODU when they were ranked? Now history WKU is very accomplished just not recently and WKU fans are hopeful that will change sooner than later....That doesn't mean any WKU fans have said we are going 34-0 and going undefeated in conference play, I have not read that from any WKU fan....You WKU Fans? What? Poster who puts incorrect words in someone else mouth tough guy...

Tea leaves would seem to say Shamond felt pretty bold being the only assistant left on staff and wanted more on his plate when the head coach didn't think enough of any of them to begin with.

Wait, Stans can coach?

I guess we will all find out soon enough right? Personally I think ODU fans needs to continue to worry about life after Trey Freeman and not about what WKU has...To win in basketball you do have score at least a little bit....

Interesting deflection, what year is it again? We didn't have Freeman last year and we still finished 4th. I guess you gotta score a little bit to be in the top half of the standings...

Still didn't go anywhere in the end, at least with Freeman you had a nice NIT run.....

That's really the best smack talk you can probably do when you finish in the bottom half of the 24th ranked conference last season, I suppose. Hope you do better this year

That was not in reference to the term hating. I highlighted hating because they constantly complain that they are being "hated" on when they are the ones constantly "hating." Wkufan specifically, and a few others. If you can't stand the "hate" then quit talking smack about other cusa schools.

Some kid who is destined to be a star03-yawn Aren't they all? If they only knew how tough it is to prosper in the NBA

BTW 4 time all-star Paul Millsap just became the 5th highest paid player in the NBA. 90 million over 3 years. Paul went to lowly Louisiana Tech, was drafted in the late second round, and work his butt off to develop his game to get to where he is today.

It is easy for these tall kids to dominate against underdeveloped high school players, not saying this Robinson kid doesn't have NBA talent but it is going to take a whole lot more than talent to be good in the NBA

M. Robinson .......... Gone From WKU Campus

I think everyone but ppl who root for WKU seen this coming after what was reported earlier this month. I for one wasn't going to count on him being in a WKU uniform until WKU had their 1st game and he was on the floor.

RE: Mitchell Robinson not going to WKU or is he?
Why would anyone in this conference not want this kid to make it to that glorified community college and ball out? If Mitchell gets there and does his thing even for a year that says a lot about the quality of the conference and what can be achieved in C-USA. It seems like a lot of people are just waiting for the moment where they can say See, told you so. I don't get that. If he bails that's really not good for our league's image (and we really could use a face lift in this sport).

Besides, all the wkcc fans think we can't win without Jacorey so I want him on the team when MT puts a boot up their ass.

Oh, I love the tweet from the dork that says all western students go home on the weekend therefore nothing to see here. LMAO.

I've been rooting for WKU to keep their top class. I hope they stay so I can watch my 3 and 2 star players beat the 5 and 4 stars.

Well, if he's gone he must be planning to play pro in Europe. He would have to sit out a year if he transferred I believe since he enrolled and took classes.

Maybe there is a grace period though?

Exactly high school ratings are so overrated. I look at the list of Louisiana Mr. Basketball and Paul Milsap, (the fifth highest paid player in the NBA) is by far the most accomplished.

You really think Western fans ain't seen this coming?

You think you're more connected with what happens in Bowling Green than people that live here and spend time on campus and talk to people on the team?

I say it with every player that has ever said they'd play for Western. I get excited when I see them in a Western uniform checking into a game. Never before then.

It's all about someone leeching onto him. They know they'll never be on the ballsack of another high lottery pick in their life. They've done everything they can to convince MR to go pro for a year because they know Western's not letting him out. They've gone against the mother. Repeatedly. They're a sack of shitt.

RE: Mitchell Robinson not going to WKU or is he?
So it goes without saying, with all these handler types that are now in the assistant coaching ranks, how does this affect assistants that can actually coach? Equal opportunity...... right?

RE: Mitchell Robinson not going to WKU or is he?
Yep guys its over....MR is gone and is not coming back....Which at this point I am almost relieved to a certain extent....I am sick and tired of all the drama over this entire situation...I don't even think its the kids fault, its the so called "adults" in his ear viewing him as a cash cow telling him he is too good to be at WKU....That is what sucks about the whole thing....

MR is a socially awkward kid who tried to do what him mom wanted but in the end he either was not mentally tough enough or the "adults" in his ear won out....I will say one thing though, doesn't matter how much talent you have if you are not mentally tough enough he will not make in the NBA very long....He has a lot of work to do wherever he ends up...

If he stayed at WKU this season, our team chemistry would have been shot...Already heard the situation was not good as his teammates at WKU were walking on eggshells afraid he would bolt at any time and their was a divide among the other teammates he could get by doing whatever he wanted....This whole thing sucks and will likely cost us another player but in the end you cannot have a guy play who clearly doesn't want to be here, it would ruin our season even more...Now we just go back to being back at our level again...I will admit the national attention besides the drama of all this was kind of nice....
