How awkward is it gonna be at the next President's meeting when Ray Watts is looking across the table at Brian Mackin?

Crappy AD to a crap conference. Perfect fit.

Mackin was a horrible AD who was complicit in the downfall of UAB football. He became a hero to some UAB fans after he resigned at the end. But everything he did leading up to the end led to that day. Had he took a public stand earlier. That day wouldn't happen.

Ask Ray Watts if he is still spending Julie Lanier's money. He got pissed when Allan Levey was named Chair of Neurology at Emory instead of him and he cleaned out his "6" account and took his staff to Hawaii on the donor's dime. Then ran to be Chair at UAB because they gave him the leeway to spend money like he used to be able to before Mike Johns learned of his shenanigans at Emory.

Hicks Lanier would roll in his grave seeing what that snake did with his hard-earned money. Ray Watts is a bad man.

There are plenty of others who have the same opinion of Mackin as I do, posting on Blazertalk. dont understand why some have decided to make a coward into a hero.

Speaking to someone that has spoken directly with him on more than one occasion after it all went down I along with a few others understand him a little bit more than someone from the peanut gallery.

That's about all I can really say.

Well I spoke to someone who spoke to someone else who had a phone call with someone else and heard differently. But I can't say anymore either.

An asset if the goal is to shutdown CUSA.

Either he was complicit or ignorant of what was happening. Either way that is not an asset.

What about the audio recordings?
He wasn't complicit nor ignorant and the audio recordings proved that. He knew the hire of Clark was do or die, and would have to save the program and it did. Could he have done more? Sure... but so could you and me, and no one is questioning our love for UAB.

In case you need to re-listen Private recordings reveal UAB football search committee felt new coach had to 'save' the program

Could have been worse I suppose. CUSA could have hired Watts.
