To 2004. Sure, it's very early seeing as how we haven't even played a down yet in '03, but here is our schedule for '04.

9/4 MEMPHIS
9/11 @ Alabama
9/18 VANDY
9/25 @ Wyoming (pumped about seeing Laramie, not the opponent)
10/2 ARKANSAS ST (imagine that  )
10/9 @ South Carolina
10/16 TENNESSEE (Oh, it's ooooooooooooooooon :D )
10/30 AUBURN(Will Ears still be the coach after he blows it this year)
11/13 @ Arkansas
11/20 @ LSpuke
11/25 MSU (the Egg remains in Oxford, once again)

This is all we have listed for now and we are supposed to have 12 games/year now, so who will be the 12th game? Probably Indiana St or VMI, or some crap. Please get a decent non-con foe like Va Tech or So Cal or someone of that caliber....PLEASE!

.....now back to the present.... 03-lol

That may be, Wiz. I haven't heard that. If that's the case, then there is our complete schedule.

I'll see if I can find a link to that.

Interesting sked! I also hope we get a quality 12th opponent, if that's the plan. If a non-power, at least make it from a strong conference, such as Kansas, Baylor, NC, Mizzou, etc. We used to be better about that.

I recall one year, '75 or so, we opened with Texas A&M and Baylor!

We could always take on the SIU Salukis of the Missouri Valley Conference.

I say we play an old school power like the Tulsa Golden Hurricane! Or North Carolina. You know, somebody with good brand recognition but not really dangerous!

It is a step up...up north that is. 03-lol

Seriously though, it is a better quality opponent than Louisiana-Monroe or Murray State.

That reminds me, anyone remember the Murray State fan who got on the old board two years ago talking smack. They were going to come to Oxford and shock the world. As I recall, it was Eli's first start as a Rebel, and he broke quite a few single game records. 03-wink

I'm with you on that one, Rx. Wyoming IS a step up from some punk school with a name like the NE quarter of the NE quarter of Loosiana

I forget who the coach was but not too terrible long ago, there was a coach that was really making progress with the "Cowboys". They had some pretty good teams for several years and then he left and they slipped back below par.

Yeah, they were a power a few years back. Can't recall that coach, either...

If I can find some of my old football publications from several years ago, I'll look it up...I've gotten curious and it will "bug" me until I remember or until I find out some other way.

Somebody let me know if you find out who we are talking about - PLEASE!

Looks like we'll have to wait until Rhett comes back. . .

The good news is, we finally have power at Karen's house! Still no power down the street at the Shoebox, though. Man AC is the best invention ever!

Paul Roach
Athletics Director/ Football Coach, 1987-90

Paul Roach is the only man in the history of the University of Wyoming to serve in the dual capacity of athletics director and head football coach. As UW Athletics Director from 1987 through 1996, Roach guided the department through one of its most successful eras, and his vision established the dream of the Athletics Center. As head football coach, Roach led the Cowboys to back-to-back WAC championships in 1987 and 1988, going undefeated in league play both season. He earned WAC Coach of the Year honors in both 1987 and 1988, was named Kodak Region V Coach of the Year in 1987, and was a two-time finalist for National Coach of the Year. In his four-year tenure as Wyoming
