We also compare more favorably to CUSA when you consider CUSA does not have non-football schools.

You can't look at the numbers the same for schools with and without football.

BTW, I remember when we were next-to-last in these rankings. We're movin' on up. 04-bow

Kudos to Coastal as well, looks like they're moving up the rungs as well.

While I agree, it does reveal an ugly truth that when it comes to making money, CUSA is more consistent with more common revenue patterns and less underactive athletic departments.

Also Coastal was listed as still being in the Big South so next year they should see an even larger revenue after their first full year in the SBC is complete. Congrats Coastal

The numbers from USA Today are from the final year of CUSA's contract with Fox/CBS

One other comment...these numbers clearly show there is no "Power 6", but you could certainly say the AAC is a tweener conference.

Because of Kirby Smart's law, Georgia Southern and Georgia State are only allowed to have our budgets 65% subsidized so does that mean Georgia Southern could increase our athletic fee if we wanted to?

No idea but I would guess with the take over of Armstrong looming we won't be making any drastic changes for a while.
