Well I think this thing could have gone way worse. Have two potentially good hires, with competitive salaries, better assistant money, and new blood. Should be interesting. Bruno does need to sit back and let Floyd run the department and not micromanage.

Good on ULM for increasing the assistant's pool.

But having said that, EVERY time a coaching change is made, especially after a firing, the new guy gets more resources than the guy before him. It's part of the negotiation.

The AD hire is interesting. I'll have a wait and see attitude about that one. Honestly, he'll have to go some to top Wickstrom. I thought the guy was making chicken salad with very little chicken. At least Wick was getting people to open their wallets a little.

But ULM still has a big issue. His name is Nick Bruno.
