Central Conn is D1 at least and with how brutally hard the rest of the schedule is featuring away games at Iowa State, Marquette, and Iowa... I don't feel bad about this.

2017-18 roster is finally up so schedule likely any day. Lineup: German, Thorpe, Bradley, Key and James, backups: Thomas, Brown, Tommy, McCarthy and Hamilton. If Key is still injured then: German, Thorpe, Tommy, Bradley and James, backups: Thomas, Henry-Hayes, Brown, McCarthy and Hamilton.

Monty told me they have more talent and will be a better team than last year. I call BS and I told him so. Time will tell on the better team part but I don't believe for a second they have more talent!

If they have players that are beyond 3rd grade maturity level and want to compete that could make up for any slight lesser amount of talent to be as good or better than last year. I think biggest challenge facing basketball is similar to football in coaching. Will Monty ever adjust to the current day game, will offense ever become a priority

A very much improved basketball schedule, very nice.

Huskies have 6 of first 9 MAC games on the road. Also, 16 total road games and 15 home games. Looks like the road will determine the fate of this season.

Yeah was just looking over that stretch of 6 of 8 on road in MAC. Not exactly cupcakes in there either yikes. Go .500 through first half of MAC play and you have a shot to win the West

Which means they will win 20 lol. They have a way of proving us all wrong in both directions. If a culture change can occur, there is enough talent on here to be a West contender. I am not sold there is a culture change until I see it though, just have to steer clear of the pampered narcissistic players, and NIU's position will be much improved. The MAC is not as good this year as it was last year which will help. WMU will be improved though and that could be an issue. Broncos could be the team to beat.

Yea, times have changed. I'd like to think maybe they'll have a bunch of players that just play well together and that will help. One can always hope. It does seem like offense is an afterthought though and that probably makes it hard to keep players, at least the ones with scoring ability.
