NPR Tweeted Declaration Of Independence, And Trump Supporters Flipped Out
NPR has been broadcasting a reading of the Declaration of Independence on July 4th for almost thirty years.

This year they also tweeted it, and some Trump supporters were outraged NPR was tweeting this "trash" and "horsechit" etc.

Though I think it says something that his own supporters assumed the tyrant Jefferson is railing against was Trump...

If NPR had done the same thing in 2009, I have no doubt that Obama supporters would not only have been similarly apoplectic, but also would have denounced the network as racist.

Fun fact, NPR has recited the declaration for 29 years straight now.

I think this was the first year for the tweeting of it.

Funny thing when you look at the raw source, there appears to be at least a number of liberal types also going off the wall. Funny HuffPo didnt bother to include that fact.... Oh, I forgot..... Its HuffPo....

[/emily latella mode on] Never mind [/emily latella mode off]

It is interesting how some outlets not only have a serious hard-on for Trump, but also for Trump supporters. I think this is worthy of some scientific research. Find the cause, patent it, produce it, then put Viagra out of business.

I think twitter is the key.

Anyway, I just thought it was amusing.

In fairness, I think it's much more notable and ironic that people are accusing NPR of propaganda for tweeting out excerpts of the Declaration of Independence, than those who are praising it because they think it describes our current political climate.

I heard it in 2009. I was driving from Houston to Austin. I was not apoplectic, nor did I think the network was "racist."

well... I think the average twitter poster is well below average (nationally)... of course, that doesn't mean there aren't some very smart ones as well... I think the average rice alum is well above average (again, nationally)

is that good or bad? Whole lot more of them than there are of us... and in a world where 'numbers' often determines 'power', it doesn't bode well for us.
