You and I rarely agree but we do on this.

This is a political thread--and was always intended to be.

Lmao, funny thought.

When someone has to preface a sentence with "Not to be....." That's always what they are alluding to.
My favorite is I don't mean to offend you but......

This was political from the first post.
Unfortunately, you're going to find that more and more as political divisiveness and bitterness creep into different facets of society. It's both political and yet on topic since it does impact scheduling and may impact the way conferences work down the road if we keep going down this path as a country.

I mean, if you would have told me 10 years ago that the NFL would take a quasi-official stance on the usage of police force, I would have said you were full of it, but here we are.

This is true. UCLA and Cal don't need money games. Fresno and SJSU do.

And its going to really hurt Bakersfield.

---

The NCAA will probably try to accommodate the bigger California schools in tournaments. They might just leave SLO or Fullerton out to avoid a problem.

Remember the NCAA doesn't want a high profile forfeit. This would actually put pressure on many of their own institutions to do something to combat the discriminatory bills in general and at some of their institutions specifically. They want this thing to be really quiet.

So a feel good law that the rich schools ignore via private funds and the middle class and poor schools suffer greatly from thus further increasing the financial divide.

Typical of most feel good laws promoting an agenda

I think people forget that the coaches, the ADs and the employees of the athletic departments are state employees, and they are also not allowed to go to these states. I do not think even private funds will do because they are not exempt in the ban.

I think twice before I believe these type reports, especially when it is a Dem Mayor making them. Despite the "Doom and Gloom" predictions, 2016 was a record Tourism year for NC. I prefer to see the actual number, sadly the media never goes back and say hmm, maybe we exaggerated a bit about the impact. I really hate journalism has become dead profession.

Here is the story from Louisville media:

The Omni is actually still under construction - the 2018 convention would have been a huge pickup.
