Most ECU fans would say the over 70 points we scored on UNcheat and ran the clock out in the fourth quarter. Maybe the peach bowl win or blocked punt against VT for the win. But my favorite was the Hail Mary as time expired against Tulsa, what a heck of a game04-cheers

1) 7th game of world series...Marlins 1st championship

2) eastern conference finals Magic vs Cavs where LeBron stormed off the court like the baby he has always been.

3) Fiesta Bowl - ucf destroys Baylor. Never expected a win

4) random but 3 OT Ucf basketball game vs Tulsa. Ucf win

5) ucf beating the Gators at Amway Center in front of close to 15k taking ucf to #17 in the country.

We scored 1 offensive TD, 2 FG's, 1 punt return TD, 1 Pick Six, and had a 2pt conversion off a blocked extra point attempt, and missed one of our extra points I think? We beat ND 28-27 after we intercepted them in the endzone. You'd thought we'd won the Super Bowl.

That game was amazing and probably should be my #1, but the 2007 game in Skelly against BYU was amazing. Some of the best offense and hardest hitting on defense i have seen Tulsa play.

Haven't seen many classic games but the Todd Blackledge led 1981 PSU defeating ND 24 to 21 in freezing cold, windy weather, on a late TD. Top RB Curt Warner was injured for that game but PSU got 192 yards rushing from backup Jon Williams.

The weather was so bitter that my ex-college roommate basically begged to leave the game early and we did miss the winning TD drive but heard the roar. I could of killed my ex-college roommate at that point.

December 31, 1977 Freedom Hall Louisville
#1 Kentucky vs #4 Notre Dame
UK 73 ND 68 Final
Both teams were loaded with talent. ND had players like Laimbeer, Tripucka, Woolridge. UK was loaded with talent like Givens, Robey, and Macy. Joe B vs Digger. I had front row half court seats looking across at Billy Packer, Al McGuire, and the Wildcat girl cheerleaders. Simply an amazing day.04-cheers

ECU vs. NCSU Peach Bowl.

ECU vs. Miami in Raleigh.

About the only two to even come close to those two were when ECU was thumping UNC and NCSU on their own home fields a few years ago.

***************

Cardinals @ Panthers for the NFC title 2 seasons ago.... that was electric.

Mine are lame compared to many others. The Bearcats beating Marbury led Ga Tech in 96 to advance to the elite eight. The Bengals clinching home field advantage in the playoffs with a victory over Washington in 88 on their SuperBowl run.

Wow, I have been to hundreds of games but very little meaningful ones.

Edit. Forgot one. Last second shot by the basketball Bearcats to beat Minnesota to open the Shoemaker Center/fifth third.

Good calls there!

Ok, I'll add these too

Marquette @ ECU first two CUSA matchups where they were T10 (might have been T5) and we beat them both times.

Louisville @ ECU for our first ever CUSA hoops win.

I clapped and cheered so hard at those games my hands hurt for days and my throat and ears took days to recover.

No but everyone was at Wilt Chamberlain's 100 point game in Hershey, at least that's the legend.

My son was at that ECU/Tulsa game and all the ECU fans around him were congratulating him on the win and BAM. Very deflating for TU fans but it was an exciting game.

#8 Houston over #7 Nebraska in the 1979 Cotton Bowl. Was just a kid but remember it well. 4th down touchdown pass with 12 seconds left gives the Cougars the 17-14 win.

Peach Bowl. 13-2-2 all-time vs. The Seminoles!

Red Sox world series win over the Rockies in Fenway Park game one in 2007.

Worst is hands down losing the NCAA Title game to NC State in the Pit.

I did. That was my number 1. Considered the greatest CBB game by several sports publications.

Further down my number 2 was Game 3 of the 1983 World Series. Carlton pitched and lost a close one to Baltimore on my birthday. At least I could say I saw one of the greats in one of sport's most defining moments.

Someone previously mentioned the Wichita State 2003 NIT game against Florida State. No joke. That game was obscenely loud and intense. Two overtimes too.

But not my greatest game.

Wichita State v. College of Charleston, 2011 NIT. Last round before MSG. We played well and CoC was never really a threat, so Goudelock was given the green light to shoot from wherever the hell he felt like. Was taking and making from 27 feet and further if given the space. Between that display and the feeling of accomplishment and community as everyone in the building, 10500 Shocker fans, sang "New York New York," that is my greatest single game memory.

Other contenders
A random game against UAB in like 09. Snowed so bad they only played the game because UAB got to the stadium before the roads became impassable for the bus. Technically a sellout, but only 5000 people showed. 5000 loud and passionate people. A great, surprisingly loud, and intimate game.

The sports bar where I watched WSU v. Indiana in the NCAA tourney. Again, pure community and energy.

November 2nd, 1991. Southern Mississippi at Tulsa, Tulsa wins in dramatic fashion in heavy snow with 35 mile an hour winds. Game started with the temperature in the 60's.

2007 UNC at ECU Hartman hits the FG as time expired after missing 3 FG's earlier in the game.

A very close second is Game 1 of the 2011 South Atlantic League Semifinals Hickory @ Greensboro. Greensboro down 4-3 in the bottom of the 15th inning scored 2 to walk off. They went on to win the league championship what year against Savannah.

Although not my greatest game to attend, it was a top 5 SMU game and very similar to the your 2011 NIT game. It was 2014 when we were snubbed by the NCAA and we met a very good Cal team at Moody in the quarters (had just beat a very physical, good LSU team the game before). The place was electric and Nic Moore hit a 3 with two seconds remaining to send us to NYC. Students and fans rushed the court and most of the sellout crowd stuck around for about 30 minutes singing every "New York" themed song known. It's when I knew our program had arrived.

That was my first Tulsa game to watch (on tv) as a TU student. Dissapointing ending for us, but it was entertaining at least.

BYU @ SDSU 52-52 tie in 1991. Still cannot understand how Detmer did what he did. His WRs were small, slow and unathletic, but they kept getting open. SDSU clearly had better talent, but it didn't matter in the 2nd Half. SDSU was up 42-17 in the 3rd Qtr. sold out crowd went home feeling like we lost. Still the best game I have ever seen with my own eyes.
