Summer League thread
SMU will have six former players in the Orlando and Vegas Summer Leagues. Nic Moore (Clip Joint), Markus Kennedy (Detroit), Yanick Moreira (Toronto), Semi (Boston), Sterling (Milwaukee) and Ben (Indiana). I think this is a true reflection on how far our program has come in the past five years. I'm curious how many other AAC players will be competing? I plan to watch a lot of games over the next couple of weeks and i'll be rooting for all AAC guys to do well.

Thanks Reece. Glad to hear Yanick will be playing with Toronto again in the summer league. I hadn't seen any news about him recently.

RE: Summer League thread
Wichita State has Fred VanVleet (Toronto). Ron Baker will probably end up somewhere, but Fred looks like the only firm commit anywhere for the summer league right now. Could see Tekele Cotton or Cleanthony Early pop up somewhere too.

I watched a little of the Mavs/NYK game earlier. No DSJ (playing in the Vegas session) and no Frank N which was disappointing. They interviewed Ron Baker during the game. Seems like a good guy.

He wasn't fortunate enough to be an AAC guy, but we were extremely fortunate that Fred Van Vleet was a Shocker. Fred will be playing for the Toronto summer league team again this year. Since he is a WSU favorite son perhaps AAC folk might take a look at his play and see why you will always hear WSU fans mentioning him, if you haven't seen him much before. (Pardon for the repetition, didn't catch Fastbow's response on this).

Baker is a true gentleman, and carried our brand well for four years. At a minimum, he will always be an excellent end-of-the-bench guy in the NBA that you love to have in the locker room.

He really struggled with that hideous looking shot. I hope he has a really thick skin because Dad has set him up to be the enemy. I think he is really talented, and will end up being a really good NBA player but it isn't going to be easy.

Sterling Brown signed a 3-year contract with the Bucks, guaranteed money during the first two seasons.

Sterling looks like he will make the Bucks roster from everything i've heard. Semi might be getting a 2-way contract based on how deep the Celtics are on the wing unless he picks his play up next few summer league games.

LOL

Semi had 19pts and 3rebs tonight for the Celtics in a win over LA. Hit 5 3's. Looked good at the stretch 4.

Good for Semi, a solid Kansas dude. Glad you guys gave him the opportunity to show how good he is, since the dukies and Coach K wouldn't.

Ball bounced back with a triple double last night as Lakers put him on court with quicker players.

Tatum had a very good game for the Celtics.

Semi showed up in the second half. He can and will be the Celtic's new Crowder. Tatum is really good. Ainge might not have been lying when he said he'd have taken Tatum with the first pick.

DSJ part 2: 3:30pm ESPN.
