Perhaps this will be the MBB version of the famous Iron Indians...

RE: 2017-18 Tribe Mens Basketball
With a current roster of eleven men (just nine on scholarship)---and if there are no additions--it means that Tony will have one substitute for five on five practice sessions.

The Iron Indians had 24 men on the squad and never had full scrimmages in practice. In fact, they were so short of healthy linemen they would use blocking dummies in the line when simulation eleven on eleven to fill out empty spots. All this recounted in the book on the team published two years ago.

Amazingly, two members of the Iron Indians became NFL stars: qb/db/p Charlie Sumner played seven season with the Bears and Vikings at defensive back and fb/db "Bullet" Bill Bowman was starting fullback on two NFL championship Detroit Lions teams. Sumner then earned two Super Bowl rings with the Oakland Raiders as defensive coordinator in a long NFL coaching career, and Bowman
went to law school while in the NFL off-season and became a very successful attorney in his home state of Tennessee.

Perhaps Tony can use a blocking dummy on one of the center spots.

I hope Knight learns to not pick up cheap fouls left and right next season. If he gets 2 early fouls, that might equal an automatic loss

Knight should learn a thing or two about not fouling from the blocking dummy. I bet the dummy rarely fouls out.

I have seen a bunch of refs who would call a blocking foul on the dummy.

Especially if they expected the dummy to commit the foul before the play.

Give me guys who are willing to compete and play together!

Possible nod to this year's team chemistry?

RE: 2017-18 Tribe Mens Basketball
We have an updated roster on the website. We only have 11 players and two are walk on players (Mostafa and Glover). We have a room to add at least 2~3 players.

Glover just tweeted that he has been awarded a scholarship for his senior year. Congrats and well deserved Jamison.

Glad for Glover. Still like what I saw from him on the court the very few minutes he played, but then again I always approve of players driving to the hoop and trying to draw contact (except Omar when he would go 1 v 5 at the hoop...)

If we don't get any more people on the team, he might be playing a few minutes each game

2017-18 Tribe Mens Basketball
Daily Press article that touches on the current state of Tribe Basketball.

http://www.dailypress.com/sports/william...story.html

Takeaways:
- Talks about the blindsiding of transfers
- Vaguely talks about potential incoming bigs. Perhaps Rimmer door isn't completely closed. Mentions offer to Novakovich. Says team should be set by end of July.
- Talks about Jamaica trip and the 10 bonus practices leading into it.

Lousy article - No mention of dumpster fire, train wreck, or that the sky was falling.
