RE: John McEnroe being eaten alive by his own kind (Libs)
My friend Casey and I would often go to an indoor racket club in the next town over for practice in the off season when we played tennis in HS. The boys team was absolutely awful that year, going 2-14 in the regular season, while the girls team was generally more successful.

One day while we were practicing, the girl's coach and his #1 and #2 best players walk in and challenge us to a friendly doubles match (we were not the best players on the team). We agreed under the stipulation that we could get a ride home because our ride had bailed earlier.

We beat them 6-0 6-0. We were kinda being dicks about it towards the end too, lobbing the ball high up into the air and messing around with trick shots. The girl's coach kept on scolding us for not playing seriously.

Needless to say, it was an uncomfortable ride home.
