Oh well no since in rehashing the past, Neathery is here which is great news for EMU!!

What's wrong with rehashing the past?

What you say is true, but the next man up went with the disastrous three -man front, which killed us defensively. I don't know if the four-man front would have worked better at that time, but I think it would. Remember Pat O'Connor was one of the three men up front and he was always double teamed.

Pretty sure English took over defensive play calling when Snow left.

English......a real guru. Crazy how college football just keeps recycling these old duds. Tried to revive his career in 2014 in a Browns' internship program under a Bill Walsh NFL minority coaching fellowship. The NFL wasn't impressed apparently.

Finally got another D1 shot as DC at San Jose State last year. Helped the team get worse, resulting in the head coach and his firing. No worries though, he's been recycled again as a safeties coach at Mississippi State for 2017. 03-puke

Coaching careers can go up, down or remain constant (sounds commonsensical, right?)

Lot of coaching changes lead to bigger and better opportunities for the coach.

Some just the opposite. EMU had the reputation for coaching graveyard in both FB and MBB.

Some coaches who take the 'wrong' job quickly find that their career can really go in the wrong direction.

Ron English is a very visible example. Ron Cooper after having brief success decided to make another big move upward and his career went south in a hurry.

And can we tell stories with Barnes, Boone, Ramsey, etc. in MBB.
