What do you think makes more sense, two schools with over a combined 100K enrollment having almost 200K followers, or someone buying these teams a measly 70k followers... for... internet bragging rights? I guess?

Memphis Athletics has 85k followers. Memphis Basketball has 89k. Memphis Football has 13k but is a newly formed account.

You got the university itself, the sports program, the athletics department, coaches individual accounts, the equipment guys have one... I mean hell... there are probably 20-30 different handles to follow.

these are football accounts only which I don't think was clear in the OP. Those are some nice Hoops numbers. Uconn football 29.5K
