Looks like this is the new coach USM Pitcjing coach. A lot of former players wanted Smoke Laval. I like this hire. He knows the area and USM recruits TX, Miss, and LA. Plus his connections with JUCO's will help.

I think Federico was the only hire ULM could make. Goff and Laval were both coaches who would have had some immediate negatives in NELA. ULM needed a fresh start and this guy is a guy everyone can get behind.

When they're having some success, ULM actually draws a decent crowd. I think this is a solid decision by the Warhawks.

I'm all about this league getting better. I think it did with this decision.

Coach Robichaux's last contract for five years signed in 2015 has an annual salary $125,580 annually which included a $60K signing bonus and incentives. He also gets $30K annually for radio programs and a $30K annual annuity. All that adds up to about $200K per year without post season tournament bonuses. There are bonuses for conference regular season or post season tournament championships, as well as NCAA regional, super regional, CWS, and CWS championships.

We pay our coach 300k plus and he has a 1 million dollar buyout. We will trade you coaches plus cover Butler's salary, plus come to your place for a series every year for the next five years, plus pay for anything else it would take to get the deal done. He used to be the coach at McNeese and is a well known recruiting Dynamo. He is great with alumni and is a pillar of the community. His only very small and minute flaw is that he struggles at coaching baseball. If you can overlook that detail, we have a deal.

J/K, I have always liked your program and have followed it since the college World Series year. Be very thankful for what you have going at UL because it can disappear very quickly.

120k was told and asst pay will go up. Don't know how much yet.

Does any know SBC coaching salaries.

Yes when we're doing ok we get solid crowds. We were Top 40 in 2012 with 1629 average. If we can get decent will get close to 2k. We have the student outfield and the left field lounge for tailgating. It's not ULL but it's a good atmosphere when we don't suck.
