They gave Trump a victory and an exit ramp and they hope he takes it to make the issue moot.

What SCOTUS did, unanimously, was slap down the judges who issued the injunctions against the ban. The district judges overstepped their authority, which everyone but the truly ignorant proglodytes already knew.
