This was posted on my Nextdoor Message Board. I know a lot of us have pets and I know some of you live in the Midtown area.

URGENT FOR MIDTOWNERS and beyond: Dogs are being poisoned.

In the last couple of weeks there have been several reports of poisoned dogs in areas stretching from Cooper-Young to Hein Park, and he may be working his way farther west from the East Parkway area he's frequented. The most recent report I've seen was posted on NextDoor last night when a dog died after the same symptoms appeared as have been in the other dogs - including sudden weakness, vomiting, and foaming at the mouth in an otherwise healthy dog.

The dogs are dying from being given treats - possibly raw meat - with poison in the center. Possibly antifreeze.

The physical description we have is of a white male, 20's-30's, long blonde hair (usually in a ponytail), on a mountain bike. So far no one's seen him wearing a helmet.

Until we catch this guy, just let the pups out to do their business and bring them right back in again. Keep your eyes on them when they're out.

This evil monster is feeding them the poison through fences. He walks right up to our yards and feeds the dogs poison through our fences.

Pass the word to all the dog owners in the area you know, but tell EVERYONE about it so we can keep an eye out and catch this sick creep asap!

Other: Usually seen riding a mountain bike without a helmet.

last time I lived in Memphis....I had some neighbors whose puppies were poisoned.
They went under the car in the driveway to die.
I played with them all the time...so sweet and friendly.
I was pretty tore up about it.
I dunno why or how someone could be so cruel and do that.

There are some really messed up sick people in this world. I would never turn down 5 minutes alone in a room with a person who does something like this.

They say poison is a woman's weapon, too. I can't believe a white guy would do something this heinous.

I consider that type of person dangerous to humans, too. Definitely needs to be caught.

This guy needs to be fed his own poison. If he's not caught, then sooner or later a kid may stumble onto this. What a scumbag.

Thanks for posting this info. Dude better hope a dog loving mountain biker doesn't catch him first.
