Trump empowers generals

Fairly balanced for a CNN article.

Sounds like Trump is doing all the right things.

in this instance, it was a gimme putt....

he knows better than to dive deep in that realm....

as any ceo, you solicit advice and move forward accordingly....

those of us that supported him out of the gate saw that painting before the brush touched the canvas

Well, he doesn't have to rely on congress to do anything....... it's within his realm of control. The other stuff he wants to get done, not so much.

RE: Trump empowers generals
This is what I expected to see President Trump do. It take a strong and confident person to have full trust in the abilities of those he hires. Then let them do their job in the area they know better than any President. Delegate in area you are weakest in and take control in the areas you are strongest.

That is what a good leader does.

I think we will see more of the bold part of the below quote, over the next 3.5 years. A lot of thing will happen that is counter to history. We don't have a politician in the White House

Quote:David Rothkopf, a former Clinton administration official who has written extensively about White House national security decision-making, called Trump's moves to delegate troop levels "a break from, essentially, modern history." He said the Trump administration's moves to diminish the National Security Council's input and devolve power to the Pentagon are "counter-historical."
